INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP
QUEEN SOFÍA SPANISH INSTITUTE was founded as The Spanish Institute in 1954 and renamed in November 2003 to recognize the support given to the Institute by Her Majesty Queen Sofía of Spain. The Institute prides itself on being one of the premier institutions for Spanish and Latin American culture in the United States. Under the guidance of it’s Advisory Committees and Board of Directors, led by Chairman Oscar de la Renta, it is committed to promoting an increased awareness and understanding of Spanish culture in this country.
Members of Queen Sofía Spanish Institute take an active part in all programs, and widen their knowledge and appreciation of Spanish Culture. Their interest and support is essential to the continuing vitality of the organization. As a not-for-profit American organization, all membership contributions, both individual and corporate, are fully tax-deductible.
